The Greensborough Football Club is seeking enthusiastic, passionate and experienced individuals to apply for our Senior coaching position for season 2027.
The GFC was founded in 1893 and has been a very successful club across both senior and junior grades in the NFNL and fields men’s sides in Division 1 – with our Senior side just playing off in the Grand Final last Saturday.
We are a strong, enjoyable club with a fantastic culture that is always looking to get better and succeed. Our next coachneeds to be invested in the football program and committed to develop our players as footballers and people on and off theplaying field.
We are excited to begin the search for our next Senior coach to continue building on the foundations that have been established. It’s a fantastic opportunity to lead a passionate and developing football club with a committed, stable playing group, supportive committee and very loyal members.
All applicants must possess proven leadership skills having successfully led and developed players, assistant coaches and support staff. They must strive to build a club first culture, that is inclusive of every player.
Coaches are expected to make a significant and positive collaborative contribution to the supportive and inclusive nature of our football club. They must be a strong educator who is an excellent communicator both on and off the field.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate:
Minimum requirement is Level 1 coaching accreditation.
• Ability to show strong knowledge and experience of the modern game.
• Ability to develop and instil a cohesive game plan.
• A high level of organisational leadership.
• Ability to develop players across ages 18 -> 30+.
• Ability to work with other coaches, including assistants within the club.
• A structured, organised and disciplined approach to both training sessions and match day experience.
• Identify and recruit new players to the club, including support staff.
Playing and non-playing coaches will be considered for the role and remuneration is negotiable.
