It is with sadness to hear of the passing of a former Greensborough Premiership Player – Rudolph Sondermeyer.
Rudy was an outstanding Greensborough player during the early 1950’s and played in the drought breaking 1952 Premiership side under the great Percy Adamson (see attached photo)
Rudy grew up in Greensborough and was one the new generation of ‘young guns’ who formed the foundation of our champion teams of the 1950’s.
Rudy is fondly remembered by his old ‘Borough mates’ such as Geoff Butterworth, Don McDowell, Bill Cecil, Bob Towler & Frank LeGassick.
